Re: How were you told of your Dx?
Well, I was "officially" diagnosed about a month ago, but suspect I have had MS since my 20's due to some strange, unexplained neurological episodes. Fast forward to age 44 yrs...I had an exercise related injury that was not healing, so was referred to my first neuro by my podiatrist. He w...

Re: Road to MS
I can also personally attest to the importance of getting your medical records. I was told by my first neurologist that the lumbar puncture that he ordered to be performed was "negative" for MS. Upon requesting my records and after months of uncertainty...meaning I had no clue as to what w...

Re: Question...IV Solu-Medrol and Spasticity
Thank you for the info on this Elliot. I did a little research on this and it does sound promising. Looks like there was a small study done on the vibrating machine with MS patients and the results were somewhat positive. http://www.mstrust.org.uk/professionals/information/wayahead/articles/14022010...

Re: Question...IV Solu-Medrol and Spasticity
Thank you both for your responses! I have an appt. in a few weeks with my neurologist, so will get his thoughts on things. I also do quite a bit of stretching daily. When I was in my "robot" stage even more so as it was the only thing that gave me any kind of relief. Thank you so much for ...

Re: Finally Diagnosed with MS
Hi There, I was just recently diagnosed too. However, I have had symptoms since my 20's and here we are 20 plus years later! I agree in that even though no one in there right mind wants this disease..it is a relief to finally put a name to all of the symptoms and start some kind of treatment. I wish...

Re: New Here - New Diagnosis
Hi there! I am newly diagnosed myself. Though in my case, I have suspected MS for years. I have been exhausted for years...think I just got used to it as being my "normal" and just found ways to adjust. I currently have some pretty significant symptoms. Spasticity, right leg weakness, drop...

Re: Dr Allen Bowling in CO
I just started seeing Dr. Bowling a few months ago and so far he has been great. My previous neuro was horrible and Dr. Bowling finally got my MS diagnosis correct and got me started on treatment. He is thinking I may be Spms or Ppms, but started me on a round of steroids first to see how I responde...
