But this makes it sound less appealing, from the Royal London blog: Aminopyridines, a family of compounds to which Fampridine belongs, works by lowering the requirements for axons (the electrical cabling of nerves) by blocking a specific group of proteins on their surface called voltage-gated potass...

Another small step closer to the regeneration of axons

My favourite topic this, the regeneration of axons.. Were they routine flights or rushed. stressful holiday flights? That could have been a contributing factors..

Altitude and blood flow

Is this relevant to CCSVI? I was flying transatlantic, home to the UK and when I arrived, and bear in mind my MS was at the stage when I had to give up after walking 20 meters, I walked the distance between the arrival gate and through customs faster than I would have done before MS. And the arrival...

Cranberry and UTIs

I am susceptible to UTIs. So I have to be really careful about hygiene, showering twice a day, and I still have to rake antibiotics four or five times a year. Cranberry supplements are no good. Or so I thought. Just after Christmas I contracted another. It hadn't been long since my last one so I was...

Some interesting posts

I thought that the post a while back concerning Fampridine was very interesting, for example.

Just out of interest, does anyone with MS here actually not have Reynaud's

Yup, trimethoprim stopped me peeing, I'm sure it was the drug and not the UTI. The urologist didn't dismiss it but he wasn't at alkl convinced.

Antibiotics give me an upset stomach unless I drink an actimel a day.
