Re: Diet that mimics fasting may reduce MS symptoms
Perhaps it makes more sense to fast on a daily basis by eating only two meals a day about 12 hours apart. This new work uses scientific methods which have shown that a specific mix of protein-carb-nutrient-fat etc etc results in a specific effect/results. Simple calorie restriction has a different ...

Re: Diet that mimics fasting may reduce MS symptoms
Its not easy to find exactly what is meant by "FMD", and thats because he has patented it (https://www.google.com/patents/US20150004280) and teamed with a third party to market it http://l-nutra.com/prolon.aspx This is all great, but with a BMI of about 18.8 I'm already at the bottom of th...

Problem is that not everyone uses Facebook. The other issue is that the concept of facebook groups gather people who "agree" on a specific topic. Something like TIMS will also have a fairer share of people who have not shown improvements on Biotin.

Full text available at http://www.cell.com/cell-reports/fulltext/S2211-1247(16%2930576-9 including PDF download. The fasting involves 3 days! Haven't read the full article to see how it actually differs from total fasting (apart from water of course).

"Under a therapeutic point, it is very exciting and important to note that we were able to inhibit FXII by a new substance (the protein Infestin-4) in an animal model, which was originally obtained from a blood-sucking bug ," explained Kleinschnitz. And people make fun of the old medicine...

So why am I not still relapsing-remitting? Because I can't walk? None of it makes any sense to me. There is no single consensus on the distinction between the different sub-groups. And hence it is confusing as different sources/neurologists use different criteria and will therefore possibly place y...

The biggest problem is people buying over the counter 10,000mcg Biotin supplements that may, or may not contain 100% pure D-Biotin. Most of those supplements also contain fillers. ALL these supplements contain fillers. 10000mcg dose would be smaller than the capsule containing it, so the capsule wo...

According to Frédéric Sedel, it's not any type of D-Biotin. He says (17'00 from the video):"the difference (with other forms of D-Biotin) is that it's an extra pure pharmaceutical grade biotin - it's what we call GFP Biotin" I think NHE explained it (ie GMP). My understanding was simply h...

There are seven or so different chiral forms of Biotin with different physiological effects. I have yet to see any details from Cerenday as to which form they are using and have thus tested, and hence the Biotin as used by all of us (including me) outside of the trials, may simply be wrong and tota...

Unless I am mistaken, I think these are the only conditions that have actually been published. MS Treatment has not been published in a peer reviewed medical journal. Results of Coimbra protocol for MS treatment are anecdotal.Lionel wrote:I didn't know that Coimbra could be used for Psoriasis and Vitiligo.

you do not need to test / know "everyone's" vitamin D to reach statistical significance on a hypothesis.
