Keppra for stiffness?

Post by AndyT »

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has had experience of using Keppra (levetiracetam) for controlling stiffness. My Neuro has suggested I start using this to see if it will help with the stiffness problems I am having.
If you are using it what dosage are you taking?

Thanks,
Andy

Hi, Andy.

Yes, we just talked about Keppra on another thread just a few days ago.

There are quite a few different doses your doctor might start you on. It can range anywhere from 500mg. twice a day, up to 1500 mg twice a day. I started low (just because I have a sensitivity - and aversion - to drugs in general), but titrated upward. I'm currently taking 1000 mg. twice a day.

I wouldn't be able to walk without it.
