Fumaderm for psoriasis, tried on MS

Fumaderm (Fumaric Acid Esters) is a product approved in Germany to tacle psoriasis and according to this phase II study on RR MS it brings down Gadolinium enhancing lesions to almost zero !!

Interesting to mention is that BiogenIdec (Avonex/Tysabri) bought some rights from Fumapharm in 2003. Interesting to follow if there will be phase III trials on this product !

Agreed, it will be interesting to watch. I noticed that only 10 patients were enrolled in this trial and only 6 finished it, which doesn't seem like a lot. Does anyone know if any regulatory agency would allow a final phase trial after such a small premilinary trial?

Check this out: Fumaric acid is readily available but you need to be very careful about the dose as kidney issues and lower white blood cell counts are reported:
