I am Linda (a newbie too) this all just started for me Nov. 30,2015. I woke up with extreamly blurry vision in my right eye with headache and eye pain. Within 7 days I had complete 100% vision loss in that eye. MRI's confirmed lesions all thru my brain, neck and spine. The first round of steroids did not work for me either. The Dr. was thinking some inflammation remained in my optic nerve, he sent me back for another MRI which confirmed that and I was put on a second round of IV steroids. This time it worked to get the inflammation down, headaches and eye pain went away completely. Vision is slowly recovering I can see light and movement now. I get depressed too but am trying to be hopeful about the future for my kids sake. Can you ask about a second round of steroids?
