Desperate Mom Needs Our Help!

Post by marcstck »

I received this appeal (or rather, the Wheelchair Kamikaze received this appeal) earlier tonight. I'm hoping the TIMS community will take a few seconds to help this desperate mom try to save her son:
I am writing to ask for your help in rallying the MS Community behind Hannah’s Hope, which is fighting to find a cure for GAN, a rare neurological disorder that appears in childhood. Hannah’s Hope is currently in third place for a $250K grant to fund research and NEEDS TO BE IN THIRD PLACE BY MIDNIGHT TODAY (August 31, 2010)

Would you help us spread the word that we need votes in the Pepsi Refresh Challenge?

Supporters can vote a total of 3 times.

1. Text 101885 to 73774

2. Vote via the web: http://www.refresheverything.com/hannahshopefund (If it’s your first time voting on the web you’ll have to register on the site the first time you vote. After you register once, you will not have to register again).

3. Vote via Facebook: (make sure FB isn’t open in another window)

· go to the web http://www.refresheverything.com/hannahshopefund

· Choose “Vote for this Idea”

· When you get the sign in box there is an option in the upper left hand corner to “Log in using Facebook”

· Log in with your Facebook user name and password and cast your vote!

Here is a recent story about our efforts:

Can you help us?

Wendy Nichols Clark
Thanks in advance…

Thanks, guys. In actuality, the ladies cause needs to finish in the top two vote getters in order get the grant. Hopefully we'll put her over the top…

Hannah and her family live in the town next to mine, and her story is on the front page of our local newspaper, both print and online versions: The Times.Union [ www.timesunion.com ]

Please VOTE. It's so easy to do.

Thank you, Wheelchair Kamikaze. (Your legend grows.)

And on another note, probably too late, but there's an organization called MS DREAMS, similar to the make a wish foundation, but for people with MS.

Currently ranked 70 and needs to but in top 10

thttp://www.refresheverything.com/multiplesclerosisdreamso be awarded 25K.

yes, "MS DREAMS" is definitely another worthy contender for the grant money…
