Hey guys ,
Thanks for accepting into this forum ; New here and following this forum for a while .
Not sure what’s going on . Looking for advice on next actions or nothing to do . Sigh
- 6 months ago - slip from chair on lower hip
- few months later - random back pains and random body sensation ( burning sensations )
- one day while working on standing desk - right leg goes weird and right face goes a bit numb- went to ER cleared of Stroke .
- Later developed cold fingers at night and both hand numbness and tingling and cold at night and worse after showers.
- both legs still go pins and needles by themselves .
- can’t stand cold weather anymore
-part of right jaw still feels weird at random .
- developd rest jerks and crazy random muscle twitching .
- blood work all clear
-initial brain and full spinal mri all clear By 2 neurologist
-EMG nothing found
- no diagnosis except sciatica and stress and spinal imbalance may be .
- saw few specialists but no answers yet and primary GPs saying to take a holiday to relax 😳
Question really is what is going on and is it possible to intial MS not showing on MRI .
Appreciate all you helps and what testing to do next . Thanks Abi

Hi Abi,
It's hard to say it MS when nothing shows on a scan and 2 neurologists say its clear.
When you fell, was it your right hip or left?
It does sound like that very fuzzy term "spinal imbalance" deserves checking.
Have you tried having a myotherapist or similar to go over you and seen if any groups of muscles are tight?
Obviously something not right. A lot of those random symptoms may relate to your fall. If you can find a tight spot and release that it might help.
Regards,

Hi @s@Scott12 appreciated your response and I know what you meant .
My main concern anything above my shoulder like jaw comfortable would be a wrong signal . I did see a few physio and according to my GPs nothing is wrong

Re fall it’s my
Left hip which probably explains my right leg sciatica diagnosis but there is no pain and nothing like sciatica symtomps and they could never explain my other neurological smytomps

Hi,

Because we have a continuous fascia running through us, everything is connected.
Without disparaging them, I haven't ever met a helpful physio. I'd try a myotherapist or an osteopath as they are prepared to really get their hands on you. A good one should look at your posture, identify the tight spots and be able to manipulate your body. Physios tend to be reticent.
They should be looking at the positioning of your pelvis and what's going on around your neck and shoulders. Scans are looking for structural damage and they won't really identify tightness. A good set of hands will.

Regards,

Do you get a whitish discoloration in your fingers when they get cold? If so, this might be an indication of Raynaud's Syndrome. It's a restriction of blood flow in the microvasculature. Sometimes magnesium supplements will help with Raynaud's. I would try 100-200 mg/day of magnesium as magnesium glycinate which is a highly absorbed form (it's better than magnesium citrate or magnesium oxide).

Here's a description of Raynaud's Syndrome from the Mayo Clinic.

Thank you @Scott1 appreciated your guidance . I know what are you saying . I am going to see an osteopath or functional medicine doctor if nothing comes up in next mri ( next week appointment with my primary neurologist ) .
When I said jaw comfortable it’s more on lines of a burning or uncomfortable lower trigeminal nerve which just scares me , no pain such . Whatever medical literature I have read ( courtesy google ) is just not helpful and telling me anything above spinal columns is probably something to do with brain . I think I just need to ignore and enjoy each day as it comes . Cheers

Thank you so much @NHE
My doctor discussed raynuads with me but I haven’t got any discolouration on my fingers . It just they get super red and painful especially after hot showers which I have stopped taking .

Noting my GP tested me for following things by now .
- re blood circulation - vasculitis
- lupus
- Ana panel
-b12 but I was on supplements by the time I did my blood test but argumently sufficient active B12 sufficient excludes them .
- ANA autoimmune blood panel .
- other essential vitamin and electrolyte testing .
- lime and few other infections given it’s not endemic where i live in Australia so excluded.
- sexual infections
- liver disease -Non alcoholic fatty liver found but GP said that symptoms not matching
-body toxicity
- face X-ray/ultrasound

So at this stage the only diagnosis being conversion disorder( which I refused to accept as I don’t know what it really means seems like default rubbish to me ) ?/ liver function issues / sciatica / somatic issues / stress ( I don’t know what sort of stress or emotional will cause these issues , particularly when I haven’t got any emotional trauma ) .
I am thinking of going on a gluten , dairy , Alcohol diet free to see if that helps .

Hi,
If the pain in your face ebbs and flows at the same time as it does in any other part of the body (particularly arms and fingers) I'd be thinking about how tight you are in the neck and shoulders. If there is no commonality it might be something else.

Thanks Scott , I am seeing my neurologist again today we if he can tell me wats going on .. I get crazy rest myoclonus ( in light sleep ) and random muscle fasciculatilon as well .
Re your question there is connectivity between my face pain and other body parts . First time it happened like 6 months ago my right leg went bananas ( spasm ?) and right side face numb at same time . It hasn’t happened since . Now it’s just random weird feeling in jaw ( like tingle after citrus lemon /spicy food but it’s there all the time ) So going to see an osteopath and tmj dentist soon ( as my jaw is also clicking/pop) . Will keep posted on forums

Hi,

It sounds like you need someone going over you to find where the tight spots are.

Magnesium supplements (in the form of magnesium glycinate) may help to reduce your muscle spasticity.
