This has been a week of heaven for me it’s hard to know there’s a drug out there that can make me feel so good but you can’t stay on it, prednisone has always worked in the past but it seems even better this time, maybe the worse of you are the more you notice it, not just my eyes but everything. Best 15 bucks I ever spent. _________________ ~i guess i know i just hate how it sounds~

Glad to hear it dude. My neuro's office has not called me yet today to let me know when I start my course, but I hope I get some of those same results! _________________ "When you're in jail, a good friend will be trying to bail you out. It is great that the med is helping you. It is a real pain to have an issue and not be able to do anything about it, so am glad you found help.
The Canadian geese haven't arrived here yet, but I expect them soon.

Saw my neuro today and explained the best I could how amazing I have felt on the prednisone, she said she hears it allot from mostly people with spms, because of it’s ability to reduce spasticity. But obviously you can’t have it all the time but it’s just been heaven for a while. _________________ ~i guess i know i just hate how it sounds~

Good to hear man. I just got done with my second infusion. I didn't sleep very well, but when I did wake up this morning, my knee didn't feel like there were nails in it and I'm walking much better today.
Robbie,
Do you taper after 3 days of 1000mg IV, or do you just quit cold turkey. The last time I took these, I didn't taper and nothing happened, but that was like 7 years ago and I didn't have MS that bad at that time. _________________ "When you're in jail, a good friend will be trying to bail you out. Lew...
Glad to hear the steroids are giving some relief. Jeff had the IV with his first flare, 1000mg like you- for 3 days, then he did the oral taper for another 3 days. I think that's pretty typical protocol in the states. Jeff went from hobbling around and not feeling anything in his left arm and leg, to regaining 90% function pre-attack. It was like a miracle drug in my eyes...
I'm glad you and Rob are getting some much-deserved help.

I’m coming down real good now from prednisone, spasms are back to full strength now which I notice the most. When I think of how good I felt two weeks ago I will be even harder to feel so shitty. There has been so many times throughout my 16 years that the ms has been good then bad, good then bad I am more use to it and know more of what to expect but it’s still so hard to realize the big picture. It's a relief to know prednisone is out there and look forward to taking it as often as I can regardless of how bad it is for you. _________________ ~i guess i know i just hate how it sounds~

How long did the med help you? It seems like it didn't help for long. I have never taken it and have no experience to contribute. When I was relapsing, I always was put on ACTH, which must have been a "Dark Ages" med.

I'm going to ask about the oral. I just did the 1000mg for three days IV. I feel awful now that the effects have worn off. Worse than before. I'm bumming big time. _________________ "When you're in jail, a good friend will be trying to bail you out. A best friend will be in the cell next to you saying, 'Damn, that was fun.'"

I really had hoped it would help your spasms.

about 3 weeks gwa it is just unbelievable how it helped my spasms but not just that it made everything feel better, it was a very short vacation from ms, but i will take what i can get, i felt euphoric. _________________ ~i guess i know i just hate how it sounds~
